Christian Escribá

A 4th generation master pastry chef of the family-owned Barcelona icon Pastelería Escribá, founded 1906, Christian has excelled in the culinary arts since young. At 16, while apprenticing with his grandfather in Paris, he honed his culinary talents with prestigious French kitchens, and clinched gold medals at notable national culinary events and competitions. Christian has since collaborated with some of the best known chefs and global powerhouse brands. He has produced signature confection items for Hermes, Louboutin and El Bulli, as well as for the late Pope John Paul II, Bruce Springsteen and U2, to name just a few of his illustrious clientele. A multi-awarded pastry chef, Christian was part of the World Chocolate Masters 2011 jury and is currently a judge on MasterChef © Spain.


Patricia Schmidt

Patricia, born and raised in Sao Paolo, Brazil, is regarded by Cake & Sugarcraft Magazine as one of the foremost pastry chefs. Her unique talent, style, creativity and delicate touch in sugar craft led to her gaining notice around the world, and her first book “Decorating Mini Cup Cakes”, published 2001, selling out within its first print run. She has designed the hamburger for Tickets, the tapas restaurant by famed Adriá brothers Ferran and Albert; the storefront for Chez Cocó in collaboration with Vogue gourmet, and the famed El Bulli (bulldog) together with her husband Christian Escriba. Her second book “Decorated Cakes” is now in the midst of being published.
