Internationally acclaimed, Chef Lee was born in Hong Kong with a tasting spoon in his mouth. At just 14, he became apprenticed for seven years to the Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong later moving to Toronto, Canada to pursue his culinary career. Having travelled extensively and being exposed to various culinary traditions, Chef Lee believes that success comes with the continuous acquisition of knowledge. He opened an expansive gastrodome, Susur, in Toronto 2000 and instantly earned accolades from Food & Wine magazine and Gourmet Magazine. Two years later Chef Lee unveiled a sister restaurant ‘Lee’ and positions the two restaurants as complementing each other.
