Baron
Philippe de Rothschild. S.A. - France
From the initial Mouton motto of "First I may not be, Second
I will not be, Mouton I am", to the "First I am, Second
I was, I Mouton do not change" when Chateau Mouton Rothschild
was elevated to First Growth status in 1973, the family company
Baron Philippe de Rothschild. S.A. has come a long way indeed. From
its initial inception for entertainment purposes, this family business
has perfected the art of blending and has since grown to include
a range of wines spanning international boundaries, such as the
Franco-American premium wine "Opus One" and "Almaviva",
the product of a partnership with the Chilean company Concha y Toro.

E.&J.
Gallo Winery - USA
"I'm
the third generation to work the same piece of land. And that tree,"
- a forested knoll where the vineyards meet the mountainsides -
"is where my grandfather drew the line between nature and development."
This
corporate belief that proper stewardship of the environment is
the foundation for all great vineyards and the journey towards
continuous improvement has made the E.&J. Gallo Winery the
success that it is, having achieved the unparalleled feat of winning
the Premio Gran Gold in 2002 for the third time at VinItaly. Three
Generations - One Passion: this winery in Sonoma, California,
founded by brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo in 1933, certainly
remains very much a devoted family business today.

Mountadam
- Australia
Mountadam was established in 1972 by David Wynn, one of Australia's
greatest visionaries and pioneers in the wine industry. Renowned
in Australia as a pioneer Chardonnay producer, the Mountadam range
also includes a premium red blend known as 'The Red', a Shiraz known
as 'The Patriarch' and Pinot Noir. The winery and vineyards of Mountadam
are situated in the rocky Eden Ridge, which is also the nesting
place of the Wedge-Tailed Eagle, the majestic bird gracing the Mountadam
label. Today, Adam Wynn continues his father's uncompromising quest
for perfection, to make this label well recognised for its quality
and complexity not only in Australia, but in the global markets
as well.
