Steamed Fish Wrapped in Plantain Leaves

Ingredients:  
   
  Pomfret

800g

pomfret

15ml

lemon juice
 
 
  Paste

200g

coconut, grated

100g

coriander leaves

50g

mint leaves

30g

green chilies

30g

ginger

30g

garlic

10g

cumin seeds

50ml

malt vinegar

30g

sugar
2 banana leaves
  salt, to taste

Method:

Pomfret
Clean and cut the fish into darnes.  Marinate the washed fish in lemon juice and keep aside.

Paste

Grind all the paste ingredients adding vinegar gradually.

Assembly


Place each darn of fish on a piece of banana leaf; cover with some paste, then wrap and steam.
