Laris
Have a
taste of 'designer's food' with the splendour of David Laris unique
contemporary ethnic glamour. Meet the chef in person at The
Fullerton Hotel, Town for experiential gourmet delights.
Australian
born David Laris is responsible for one of Europe's largest restaurants
which is coincidentally, renowned Terrance Conran's flagship in
Soho. With over fifty chefs, two restaurants, a private dining
room and a café under his stewardship, Laris buoyed this
up-market chain to world-class standards.
His adaptability
is apparent at Mezzo, where Laris introduced a new menu that sizzles
with exciting full flavoured Mediterranean and Middle Eastern
zest.
Having worked
at prestigious establishments throughout South East Asia including
II Paradiso Trattoria in Sydney, Mezzaluna Mandarin Oriental in
Macau, BB's Brasserie in Hong Kong and The Press Club in Hanoi,
this half Greek half Australian's passion for ethnic cuisine has
spurred him to experiment with the classic, turning it into pieces
of art.
Laris's philosophy
in using only the freshest ingredients stems from the influence
his grandfather had on him in his early years - a family tradition
which Laris treasured with an intense belief. His first stint outside
Asia Pacific, Laris is keen to create the same impact he achieved
with Mezzo.
