upcoming World Gourmet Summit will feature an exceptional
Gourmet Beer Masterclass on 10 April 2003
from 6.00pm to 8.00pm at The Regent Singapore
for the first time. With the focus of food and beer
pairing, this exclusive class will advocate the art
of matching beer with the cuisine of Robert Mayer, executive
chef of The Regent Singapore.
Mayer will also present a series of cuisine that is
specifically created to match the characteristics of
the beers being featured.
The beer tasting-food pairing session include premium
gourmet beers such as Stella Artois ®, Hoegaarden ® White,
Hoegaarden ® Forbidden Fruit, Leffe ® Blonde, Leffe ® Dark
and Belle Vue ® Kriek.

Special Guest Presenter, Mr. Herwig Van Hove who is
also Belgium's most celebrated TV chef, beer connoisseur,
wine columnist and part-time professor, will expound
on the magic of beer and food. Van Hove has also penned
several books, including The Glory of Veal Cuisine,
Eat and Let Them Eat and 100,000 seconds,
100 best of the show 1000 seconds, a companion
book to his 1000 Seconds TV Cooking Show.
